About Me
Natasha Martel is a painter by trade. She received her Master's of Fine Arts from NSCAD University in May 2022 and she obtained her BFA in Studio Arts from Concordia University in 2016. Natasha and her partner built a studio space in Vankleek Hill, Ontario where they reside and make art work along side each other. Her abstract work puts in evidence a process coming into being. The gestures capture movements caught in time. While there is an importance placed on performativity, her abstract works simultaneously depict vivid colours and hold conceptual underpinnings concerning ideas of the human condition.
