About Me
Natasha Martel is a painter by trade. She is currently pursuing her Master's of Fine Arts at NSCAD University with an expected completion date of May 2022. She obtained her BFA in Studio Arts at Concordia University in 2016. Natasha and her partner built a studio space in Vankleek Hill, Ontario where she lives and makes paintings. Her work is evidence of a process coming into being. The gestures capture movements caught in time. While there is an importance placed on performativity, her abstract works simultaneously depict vivid colours and hold conceptual underpinnings concerning ideas of the human condition.
